House Orinth Rules!
Here in House Orinth, our primary rule is that we want everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves while playing the game. As such, our cardinal rules concern behavior, first and foremost. Violating these rules will prompt a discussion with an officer; repeated violations can lead to removal from the guild.
1. ADMINISTRATION RULES

Rule 1.1 Rules
All rules are subject to change, rules will be binding as they are on the pinned message in the Discord.
Rule 1.2 Problem Resolution
When an issue arises try to sort it out privately.
If this is an unavailable option, step to an Council member in PMs, and provide them with screenshots. Not doing so will make the officer team unable to act on your accusation.

Rule 1.3 Availability of Officers
Any officer can be reached in PMs should an issue arise, however, be reasonable and don't spam them, they have lives too!

Rule 1.4 Strikes
We as a guild work with the three-strikes system, each transgression of the rules will warrant one strike. Upon two strikes you will be muted for a period of time, depending on the severity of what you did reaching three strikes will result in removal from the Guild.

Rule 1.5 Strikes Responses
When a strike is given an officer will PM you with the reason why and provide you with feedback and a screenshot of the transgression.

1.6 Website
All guild events can be found on our website:
https://orinth.wixsite.com/noble/event
Here you can find all the events that have been pre-scheduled! Along with a lot of lore information!

2. OUT OF CHARACTER CONDUCT

Rule 2.1 Channels
Please use the discord channels for what they were made, please reference the channel's description or first pinned message should this be unclear.
Rule 2.2 Bullying
Hate speech of any kind be it sexism, racism, or trans- or homophobia will result in a strike,
We are trying to create a fun and healthy environment for people to spend their free time.

Rule 2.3 Spam
Please refrain from spamming messages or memes in any chat, doing so will result in a verbal warning or a strike.

Rule 2.4 Metagaming
As RPers, we must always strive towards minimizing bleed between our In Character actions and our Out Of Character actions.
Intentionally metagaming will result in a strike.

Rule 2.5 harassment
Do not harass any member or officer of this guild, doing so is against the rules and is one of the only offenses that can land a direct banishment from the Guild

3. IN CHARACTER RULES

3.1 Supernaturals
To join any office you will have to pass a test to prove that you are not a supernatural IC.
You will be a civilian once you enter and you are free to try to cheat your way inside the office your character wishes to be part of.
So, cause of this we will not force you NOT to play a werewolf BUT we as a guild and from IC standpoints cannot stand behind it and when you get caught you will have to face the consequences...

3.2 IC Behaviour
As a member of House Orinth, you are expected to behave and with just morals and values. Not upholding these virtues can have one ICly removed from the organization by the Council.

3.3 The Council
The circle is comprised of eight members in honor of the Eight Divines, you can read more about each member on the website https://orinth.wixsite.com/noble/offices

3.4 promotion ICly
This entirely depends on the character and the need at the time, the guild consists of 4 ranks starting at Prospect and ending at Council for each office or even the court. Read more about each in #ic-ranks . It is usually the case that a character starts as a Prospect, exemptions can be made by the head of each office.

3.5 Character Death, and IC Consequences
We will NOT kill any character within the guild without consent of its player, but nor shall we accept anime-like characters aka, 'Mister I do backflips in heavy armor and shoot a bow at the same time' so please use common sense when RPing with us.

3.6 Fergana’s Laws
All laws that are to be followed and upheld when on Orinth Ground can be found in #ic-documents-logs
Failing to adhere by them can result in banishment, prison time or even character death.
Key things to remember:
-
Role-play can be created easily, don't wait for others, make your own!
-
Maintain our high standards of role-playing, especially in public channels
-
Check the Calendar. Often! Always be aware of new events, and respond!
-
You represent the guild, do not sully our good name and reputation.
These rules are simply guidelines; it's possible that situations may develop in play which require more specific rules. In the event that an officer makes a rule for a time that's more restrictive than these rules, go by that rule until further notice; if we expect the rule to be in place for an extended period of time, we'll add it in here.
Attendance
Non-members are allowed to attend guild events.

Members are expected to be online at least once per week for at least a brief period. If circumstances will require you to be offline for an extended period of time, notify us ahead of time if you can in the ABSENCE channel on discord. Without notifications, older characters will be removed from the guild for inactivity.

Our main focus in this guild is on Roleplay. That means that the majority of events should correspond with that. While other events are more than welcome, the events that we focus upon will take precedence, and in the event that someone is consistently only making and attending events contrary to our focus we may start canceling those events or discussing the matter with the player in question.
Officers
Officers are appointed based upon experience, ability, and trustworthiness over time. While officers have authority over other guild members, they are not "superior" to other members and should not be considered as such. The officers are subject to the same rules as other members.
If you have a problem with one of the officers, please report it to another officer promptly. This includes situations wherein an officer makes you uncomfortable or appears to be violating the rules of the guild for any reason. We strive for transparency and accountability, but we don't always succeed; let us know if we make mistakes so we can correct them in the future.

Screenshots!
If there are any problems with members or officers than it is strongly adviced to make screenshots of the conversation. So there won't be "your word against his". And it gives an officer something solid to go on.
