Chapter 15 - The Execution of Bazanov Matvy

On the 10th of First Seed, E2 588 it was the time for the execution of the Former Steward of House Orinth, Bazanov Matvy. The Executioner was Lady Maryelle Orinth herself, Countess of Fergana. As he was brought to the chopping block, Bazanov was smiling, commenting that it shall be marvelous while his crimes were read out to the crowd.

His head was put down on the stone for the execution after he asked why it is taking so long. He continued to smile, talking about crowning the former young Lord Alain, who has died by his hands. Many were unsure what he was talking about but the crowd wanted justice.

The Countess lifted her sword in the air and the crowd got louder. With a single swing, the sword cut through Bazanovs neck, beheading him in front of the crowd that cheered. Blood splattered, the head, with wide open eyes and a smile, his lifeless body resting on the floor. Some flinched, some closed their eyes at the execution. The Countess was giving a final speech while the body of the former Steward was wrapped up and moved away.
