Chapter 8 - The battle of Taernsby

It was Frostall 8th in the year 587 of the Second Era, when the battleplans drawn at the Warcouncil were put to the test, The Orinth force stationed in Taernsby under the command of Sir Damian Woodville , was divided into three fronts, Left right and center, as to protect the three gates of the city. This proved to be a fatal error on the House's part as they were outnumbered and slowly driven back, first, the left fell, but Lady Maryelle Arrived form Dragonrock to rally the survivors and lead a last desperate charge against the cultists!

Around this Sir Morgan arrived with reinforcements to the center front stiffening the resolve there and leading the charge, Slaying together with the soldiers among which Lord Cristophe Galbaio, the son of a vassal Lord of the House of Orinthter Many enemies among which a great orc, a hunger and two of the leading cultists!

However Sir Morgan got gravely injured by the Hunger, it's poisoned claws making deep gashes on his left side, but he was able to carry on until one of the group came across one of the Orinth soldiers known as Akamon, who killed one of his comrades. Enraged the already wounded sir Morgan charged at the redguard, But was wounded even further, Only by the timely intervention of Lady Maryelle and her Left flank survivors was the group saved and brought back to Dragonrock!
